CTS America (SmartCOP, Inc), a privately held Florida corporation, is engaged in system development, implementation, and support services for a fully integrated suite of public safety products, including Computer Aided Dispatch (SmartCAD), Law Enforcement Records Management System (SmartRMS), Jail Management System (SmartJAIL), and Mobile Computing with Field Based Reporting (SmartMOBILE).
CTS America’s founder was a software engineer and a sworn law enforcement officer who recognized the practical needs of law enforcement. He began developing the SmartCOP software in 1988 with the first installation of a Civil application in 1989 at the Escambia County, Florida Sheriff’s Office. Development continued for six more years prior to the creation of the company. The resulting systems led to the founding of SmartCOP, Inc. in 1999.
In 2004, SmartCOP expanded its products and services to include homeland security and unmanned borders projects. Due to the expansion of SmartCOP into associated business opportunities, our name was changed to Consolidated Technology Solutions (CTS) America. The company structure did not change.
Headquartered in Pensacola, Florida, CTS actively and successfully competes in all size markets, with products that scale from an agency of ten officers to thousands of officers. CTS presently services local and state agencies throughout the Southeast, with a combination of more than 4,000 MCT and CAD installations. CTS recently expanded into the Pacific Northwest with the award of a contract from the State of Montana for a fully integrated software solution that is used by their highway patrol.
CTS’ mission is simple, yet very important: Maximize public safety by providing real-time information through integrated software solutions for law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, dispatchers, and report takers.
